Amged Abdelmonim Tagelsir Abdelaziz, MD, MS, is an interventional cardiologist and cardiovascular disease specialist at ARK Cardiovascular & Arrhythmia Center in Dearborn, Detroit, and Trenton, Michigan.

After earning his Doctor of Medicine at The Academy of Medical Sciences and Technology in Khartoum, Sudan, Dr. Abdelaziz relocated to the United States. He completed his residency training in internal medicine at Oakwood Hospital and Medical Center in Dearborn, Michigan, earning Resident of the Year during his final year of training.

Dr. Abdelaziz then completed his Master of Science in Clinical Research Design and Statistical Analysis (CRDSA) from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, before completing his cardiology fellowship at Beaumont Hospital in Dearborn, serving as chief fellow in his final year.

He then went on to do his fellowship in interventional cardiology at the University of Connecticut (UConn) in Hartford, Connecticut.

Dr. Abdelaziz holds board certification in internal medicine, interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, cardiology, and echocardiography. He’s also a member of the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). 

After medical school, Dr. Abdelaziz received an externship award to Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands. This externship is only awarded to the top three medical students after phase one exams.

Dedicated to his profession, Dr. Abdelaziz has been published in several peer-reviewed journals and has presented at multiple medical conferences.

In his free time, Dr. Abdelaziz enjoys playing sports, listening to music, and catching up on academic reading. He’s also fluent in Arabic.
